Joe Johnson will head out on international duty this summer following his call-up to the England Under-19 squad for this year’s European Championship in Romania.

Our 19-year-old academy graduate will aiming to add to his nine caps at this level having first made his debut last September against Italy.

Johnson will join up with the squad for the preparation camp between 3-6 June before the competition kicks off on 9th June.

England are led by former Town defender Will Antwi, and will begin the championship with a game against Norway on 14th June.

The Young Lions then face Germany three days later before their final game in Group B against the Netherlands on 20th June.

England have twice won the European Championship at this age group, in 2017 and 2022.
